Working As A Maid – Do’s and Dont’s

When working as a maid, there are many things that you should and shouldn’t do. Today, we are going to share with you a shortlist of the things we believe you should always remember to do and not do.

DO Get Your Name Out There
Most people do not like to share that they work as a maid/cleaner. But, the only way you are going to gain work is by getting your name out there. You need to share with people what you do and shout it from the rooftops.

DON’T Rely On Word of Mouth Advertising
One of the worst things you can do as a maid is relying on word of mouth advertising. Like how people don’t like to share they are a maid, people also don’t like to share they use a maid. So, if you are relying solely on word of mouth advertising… stop!

DO Invest In Your Supplies
As a maid, you want to be using the best possible supplies when cleaning homes and premises. It is important that you invest in your supplies to be able to offer the best possible service. This includes investing in a decent vacuum.

DON’T Use Cheap Supplies
A common mistake made by maids is choosing to use cheaper supplies. If you invest in cheaper supplies as you can get more for your money, stop. These cheaper cleaning products and supplies will not give you the finish you are after. You will find them difficult to clean with.

These are just a few of the many do’s and don’t’s when working as a maid. It’s important that you take pride in your work. Be proud of what you are doing and the finishes you achieve. Don’t let people put you down for what you are passionate about.
