Keeping your carpets clean is difficult at the best of times, but it can be made infinitely more difficult when you have pets or young children.

Carpets can easily get dirty, although some more easily than others. When you have pets, they will shed their hair periodically, which will then be caught in your carpet. Once this has happened, you can’t really rely upon a vacuum cleaner to keep your carpet clear of hair, so you need to find a different solution. There are a few different tricks you can use to remove pet hair from your carpet, such as:

• Use a moist cloth to rub the carpet. This will cause the hair to clump together, and eventually to roll into a ball.
• You can use Velcro to extract the hair.
• Use a rubber brush. These produce static electricity which will attract all hair towards the brush, which can then be removed so that you can reuse the brush.
